Role Purpose
The Sales and Business Development Manager is a high-impact, revenue-first role at the heart of Duality Healthcares commercial growth strategy. This is a position for a driven sales professional who thrives on winning new business, building a robust pipeline and consistently delivering against ambitious revenue targets. The successful candidate will proactively identify and pursue new corporate clients, own the full sales cycle end-to-end, and relentlessly position Duality Healthcare as the partner of choice for employee healthcare and wellbeing provision turning prospects into long-term, high-value accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Drive new business growth by proactively identifying, researching and targeting prospective corporate clients across key verticals including financial services, professional services, technology and manufacturing utilising outbound outreach, referrals, partnerships and market intelligence to build a strong, self-generated pipeline.
- Own and drive the full sales cycle end-to-end, from proactive outreach and discovery through to compelling proposal, commercial negotiation and close, with a relentless focus on converting opportunities and shortening time-to-revenue.
- Set and deliver against ambitious personal sales targets, maintaining a structured and disciplined pipeline at all times to ensure consistent achievement and overachievement of quarterly and annual revenue goals. Proactively identify and address gaps in the pipeline before they impact performance.
- Present tailored health insurance and membership plan solutions to senior business and company stakeholders.
- Proactively pursue new lead channels including industry events, conferences, networking forums and strategic partnerships, taking ownership of brand visibility and consistently feeding new opportunities into the pipeline.
Account Management & Growth
- Build and maintain strong, consultative relationships with new and existing corporate clients.
- Conduct proactive, structured business reviews with key accounts to drive retention, maximise upsell and cross-sell revenue, generate client referrals and aggressively expand plan penetration treating every account as an ongoing commercial growth opportunity.
- Work collaboratively with the clinical and operations teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery excellence.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends and legislative changes relevant to corporate health insurance and employee benefits.
- Provide feedback to the product and marketing teams to support proposition development and go-to-market strategy.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline reporting and sales forecasts.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, business sponsors and subject matter experts across the organisation and with external partners.
- Prepare and present clear, concise pipeline and account reports and executive dashboards tailored to audience level.
- Act as a central point of contact for all client communications, ensuring consistent and timely messaging to all parties.
- Manage expectations robustly, escalating where necessary and facilitating resolution of conflict or competing priorities.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Demonstrable, quantifiable track record of new business wins and revenue growth in B2B sales within health insurance, employee benefits or a relevant financial services environment with evidence of consistently hitting or exceeding targets.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills with the ability to engage credibly at company board level.
- Highly self-motivated mentality: sets personal goals above the minimum, holds themselves accountable to results and thrives under the pressure of a high-performance, target-driven sales environment.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, solutions-oriented mindset.
Desirable
- Demonstrated track record of successful selling to business owners / principals, HR or People & Culture teams within SMEs and enterprise level organisations.
- Existing network of corporate contacts within target industries.
- Knowledge of the UK healthcare and wellbeing market.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CII, IF7, Cert PMI or equivalent).
- Previous experience working with third-party brokers, intermediaries or benefit consultants.
