SEN Progress Coach – Cambridgeshire Area (Local Authority)


Location: Cambridgeshire area (office-based, front-facing role)

Contract: Initially 3 months

Hours: 37 hours per week

Rate: £200 per day (Umbrella)


A local authority in the Cambridgeshire area is seeking a dedicated SEN Progress Coach to join their Study Programme / Alternative Provision team within the SEN department. This is a fantastic opportunity to support learners with EHCPs and make a meaningful impact in a highly supportive education environment.


About the Role

You will play a key role in supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring they receive the structure, guidance, and coordination needed to succeed. Working in a busy, front-facing service, you will be central to the delivery of EHCP processes and learner support.


Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and chair EHCP annual reviews

• Provide professional administrative and coordination support within the SEN/Alternative Provision team

• Build strong relationships with learners aged 14–25

• Work closely with schools, wellbeing officers, tutors, and external agencies

• Act as a key communication link between all stakeholders

• Assess, monitor, support, and record learner progress

• Ensure timely and accurate sharing of information with partner agencies
