Estimator

A steelwork contractor in Leicestershire is currently looking for an Estimator to join their Housebuilders division on a permanent basis.
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Duties:

• Reading technical tender and architectural drawings.
• Extracting and pricing materials for fabrication packages.
• Producing competitive bids and comprehensive tender submissions.
• Estimating labour, materials, plant, and site operation costs.
• Generating quotation documents and issuing to clients.
• Liaising with existing and new clients to identify business opportunities.
• Negotiating and converting tenders into sales.
• Supporting handover meetings with the Contracts team upon tender award.
• Maintaining strong commercial awareness and market pricing knowledge.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar Estimator role.
• Strong understanding of structural, secondary, and architectural steelwork.
• Ability to read technical and architectural drawings.
• Understanding of building regulations, contract law, and health & safety legislation.
• Strong numerical, commercial, and IT skills.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and negotiation skills.
• CRM experience and Full UK Driving Licence desirable.
