The role

An international insurance organisation is seeking an experienced IT Business & Solutions Architect to support a major IT transformation programme. This role bridges business strategy and technology delivery, ensuring scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions aligned with organisational objectives.


Responsibilities

Working closely with senior stakeholders, Product Owners, the PMO, internal IT teams (UK and US), and outsourced development partners, you will translate business requirements into architectural designs and technology solutions. You will lead end-to-end solution design, define integration strategies across enterprise platforms, and ensure compliance with architecture standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements. The role also involves contributing to the IT strategy and roadmap, participating in architecture governance forums, and providing technical guidance to project teams and external providers.


Must have

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years’ experience in enterprise or solution architecture, with strong knowledge of architecture frameworks, capability mapping, and enterprise integration. Experience with technologies such as MuleSoft, .NET, cloud infrastructure, SQL Server, and UML is desirable.

You will bring strong strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the confidence to influence across technical and business teams in a complex international environment.
