This is a high-impact opportunity to join a central data platform team working at the intersection of data engineering, business intelligence, and emerging AI technologies. You’ll play a critical role in shaping scalable, production-grade data systems that support real-world scientific, economic, and societal outcomes, within a highly regulated and mission-driven environment. Expect close collaboration with experienced engineers, data scientists, and domain experts, with genuine ownership over platform components and direction.

What You’ll Do:

  • Contribute to the evolution of a modern data platform, including data lake and analytics layers
  • Enhance enterprise BI capabilities, enabling robust reporting and data-driven decision-making
  • Collaborate on AI-enabled initiatives, integrating data pipelines with emerging ML and generative AI use cases
  • Apply best practices across data governance, security, performance, and reliability in a regulated environment

Skills Needed:

  • Strong experience delivering data engineering or BI solutions in an AWS cloud environment
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing, transformation, and pipeline development
  • Hands-on experience with AWS data services (e.g. Glue, S3, Redshift, Athena, Lambda)
  • Solid understanding of data platform design, data warehousing, and analytics patterns
  • Exposure to AI/ML concepts, tools, or workflows (e.g. cloud AI services, LLMs, or ML pipelines)
  • Experience building and maintaining production-grade systems with a focus on scalability and reliability
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, APIs, or CI/CD practices is advantageous
  • Experience in regulated or complex environments
  • MUST HAVE SECURITY CLEARANCE: BPSS

You’ll have the opportunity to influence architecture, support meaningful AI adoption, and work on systems that make a tangible impact at scale.

If you’re looking to apply your expertise in a forward-thinking environment with real purpose, we’d love to hear from you.
